If my water softener is looked in the basement and there is no drain near by. How do I evac the excess from the brine tank to the 1st floor which is 8ft vertical? Do I need to get a pump to push the water out?
Is there risk of freezing in the winter time?

I've noticed that my water treatment system is starting to leak at its pipes since last week, and I'm not sure what to do with this since it would be a waste to replace the whole tank. I think I'll call a residential service to repair this for me since I don't have any spare parts I can replace the pipes with. Thanks for enlightening me that a typical repair job costs about $65, so I'll be sure to use that as my reference when I'm looking around.
