I have found that both Pentair and Culligan don’t have the best customer experiences while typically having the highest prices (I used to work with Pentair and have written about Culligan here).

However, it all really comes down to what your specific needs are.

My go to recommendations are SpringWell for salt based softener / filter combos and Aquasana for salt free softener / filter combos. Both treat hard water, have multi-stage filters (including the option to add on UV and RO systems), have better rates of customer satisfaction and cost less than half the price of your current offers.
