Just like Dave I had a Water Boss for about 20 years until we received city water..over the years I had to replace one transformer and a circuit board because of a lightning storm. I am getting ready to purchase another one for my sons well as he is getting ready to build a house. The low compact design is unique among water softeners and makes it a lot easier to pour a 40# bag of salt in. The built in filter is also a plus. I would highly recommend a Water Boss softener.

I had severe iron in my well water. I bought both the iron filter and water softener from Waterboss. My iron issues are 100% gone.

Hi Mitch It really depends on how hard the water is and the amount of water you use (e.g. it might be sufficient if the cottage is only inhabited by 1-2 people with minimal water requirements). Also, a hard water test kit might make it easier to find the right solution. Stay hydrated, Luke

Hi, is it possible to use a 16000 grain RV water softening system in my summer cottage rather than going with a larger more expensive one? Thank you for the good service you provide. We do shower daily and have a washing machine we use twice weekly. Thank you

I bought a Waterboss 950 about 19 years ago and have never done any of the recommended preventing stuff. It stopped working one time and I called waterboss who walked me through it and sent me the part I needed. I installed it and it worked just as it did brand new. I need a new one now at 10 years in however if I did the preventative maintenance it may have lasted another 10

I am a 70 years old disabled senior with an intestinal condition that requires to consume the purest water available.
I spent $500 dollars in the WaterBoss plus almost $600 to install it. It means to me a full month of income since given my health condition I am in low income.
It stop working 2 months later. WaterBoss customer service refused to help me. They don’t provide service to their units and you must “help yourself”. ( they only guide you through )…with my disabled condition it was an impossible task and they didn’t care at all ! Their attitude is totally nasty and indifferent !
I wasn’t able to return it . It was already installed ! I couldn’t afford to pay again just to remove it ! BE AWARE!!! WaterBoss DONT give you options!
If they abuse the elderly and disabled figure out what they can do with others in better position!!

I bought a water boss 19 years ago when I built my house, as a contractor I steered a lot of people to them with real good feedback. I recently treated my well with bleach and vinegar for a bad smell and didn’t bypass the softener when I flushed everything out and killed it. I’m definitely getting another one tonight and sure hope they are as good or better than the first one. hard to find any appliance that exceeds the industries normal life of product.

I put a waterboss in my home 18 years ago, I have hard Iron water, everything was orange, after I hooked this up tub was white again, I just replaced with a whirlpool and it eats at least 5 bags of salt a month and my tub is orange again. So Im putting a waterboss back in.

Don’t buy it. They don’t offer any service or guarantee. Calling on the phone for service they told me that the only thing they offer it’s to guide me through to repair it myself. I AM A DISABLE OLD MAN. When I told her that, her careless response was that nothing else she can do. DONT BUY IT and Don’t get stuck with a worthless machine! I spent in the machine and the installation including bring the water line to it. A fortune wasted for my age health and economic conditions. I sent several emails never answered ! BE AWARE
