There is something wrong with that specific filter – your PPM count should NOT go up after filtration. Most likely it’s a leaky filter cartridge. Sometimes filter cartridges can also not “sit” well in the filter housing and not seal. This is rare in my experience.

I just bought a pur water pitcher with the pur plus “elite” water filter. Water from my faucet tests at 563 ppm. After using the pur filter the water that has been filtered tested at 664 ppm. How does that make any sense? Have you tested the water before and after? I feel like I’ve wasted $40.00 on something that doesn’t work.

For the last week, there is always some water left unfiltered at the top of the pitcher cup no matter how long we wait.We only fill it to the Pur line twice, not all the way. either.

How much does hot water that accidentally ran through a Pur faucet filter affect filtering ability?

The PUR filtration system is making my dog and cats sick. They are all indoors. I have changed only to a PUR filter system. Yet they are getting sick from this change. I need answers. I have taken all the SO-CALLED PUR water away from them . I noticed they are not drinking this as they were without this filtering. Worried!!!!!
