Hi John,
Yea, I'm not recommending NOVO for the reasons listed above. I like Springwell (recently bought by Moen's owners) and Aquasana brands - Springwell has great salt-based softener options that are affordable. Feel free to search for either brand name on my site to read more.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Hi Al

Perhaps try contacting the manufacturer of your new water softener? They usually have a list of approved plumbers.

Stay hydrated,

No, unfortunately Novo Water don't provide prices upfront and prefer that you speak to a sales person first.

Stay hydrated,

Hi Eugene

A quick search of the Novosoft 485HE threw up a price of CAD $1,335.00 - I don't know if it's possible to get it cheaper.

Stay hydrated,

Hi Pat

Reverse osmosis is a great option for filtering water to improve the taste and can easily be installed <a href="https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=XGumC3sj/08&mid=36667&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.aquasana.com%2Fdrinking-water-filter-systems%2Freverse-osmosis-claryum" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> under the sink</a>.

Unless there is something especially different in your situation, I can't think of any reasons why this would be a bad idea.

Stay hydrated,
Luke

Hi Pat
I have to admit, $9,000 is at the top end of prices of water softeners even when they include a filter.
But it's all good if you have already bought, installed and happy with how it works.
Stay hydrated,
