I had a Northstar NST45ED1 installed by my local plumber in Kentucky. After 14 months, (2 months after warranty ended), this system completely failed. It now needs the rotor and disk replaced. Northstar products fail just after the one year warranty ends. I will never buy another Northstar product again. Stay away from this company!

I’ve been through 2 Northstar home water softeners in less than 4 years. The first, and then the replacement, both blew out the threaded collar on the tank. (#1 lasted 2.75 yrs, #2 lasted 1 yr almost to the day. In each case the garage was flooded and some property lost. No, the psi of the water supply was tested at 80 psi. It wasn’t too much water pressure. Northstar went straight to psi issues, promised to contact me back, and then ghosted me from then on. I moved on and went with Aquasure. Too early to tell.

Luke,
Where did you get your info on the NorthStar brand? You seem to be referring to older units that have not been in place for about 4 years. Also, your pricing is way off as well as many facts and features.
If you would like to get it right you may contact me.
