Hey Mr. Water Geek, Great content. I have just purchased an MXL 15 Life Ionizer, and the system has 2 inboard filters. Also, the kit came with 2 external filters which I mounted under sink in line with supply to machine. Pre filters I’d suspect.

Hello Mr Water Geek,
Keen to purchase an alkaline machine asap and was almost on track for the Life MXL in place of the Kangen until I came across Tyent in your review and plenty others now but is there a reason why you’ve not done a comparison/review of the Kangen machines?

I’m presuming you also have no affiliation to these suppliers/brands also.

This is so complicated! Kangen says they are the only one with a quality machine and they show me how the life ionizers break off and add heavy metals to the water.

Life ionizers say they are top quality and offer life-time warranty. But what is it worth if they do not even have a good customer service?

Who to trust? The Multi Level Marketing from Kangen? Or Life ionizers that constantly bash Kangen?

I agree the customer service at LifeIonizers is bad; actually it’s terrible. The MXL-9 won’t work if the filters have timed out. Absolutely NO filtered water until you replace the filters. Last year I ordered two of each of the required filters. It took MONTHs for the orders to arrive, so my filter was out of commission for about 3 months. They sent 3 of 1 type and 1 of the other, which I didn’t realize until it came time to replace. So I placed another order in Aug 2020. It’s now Jan. 2021 and they can’t find my order in their system after calling and emailing them monthly asking about where my order is. They are now blaming it on COVID. So for the two years I’ve had the MXL-9, at least 7 months of that I’ve been unable to use the filter. This is TERRIBLE customer service as they won’t stock filters from Korea and blame it on the delay of importing. They KNOW there is a delay. They need to compensate for that.

Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with Apollotek International but a quick search brings up its BBB profile and I have to say their reviews are a little worrying given how new and relatively unknown they are.

Hey Mr. Water Geek,

So we are looking into getting a whole house filtration system but we don’t know who to go with…we’ve been approached by a company called Apollotek International (based out of Irvine,Ca) and Culligan but I read your Culligan review and don’t really want to go with them but we don’t know much on the Apollotek company either. We have done our research and its all mixed reviews mostly decent reviews. Do you think you can help us with the research?

I’ve been thinking about getting an ionizer for some time and you have me convinced. I won’t mention my specific issues because you told me last time that I was too explicit so I want to respect that, let’s just say that I’m old and fat and that causes a bunch of issues. But I had no idea all the things ionized water can do and I think it can help. I didn’t know it can remove bacteria from my vegetables. I have been rinsing my vegetables with a bleach solution because I’m terrified of the covids because I’m in a very bad category for death, old and fat. But my doctor said that using bleach is very bad so I stopped eating vegetables.
