Hi Jordan

1. The filters last for approximately 950 gallons of water, which is 6-months of use for the average family.
2. The replacement filters currently cost <a href="https://shrsl.com/2bk6f" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener ugc">$129-£149</a>.
3. No other on-going replacements are necessary, hydrogen tablets are optional.

Stay hydrated,
Luke

So for this machine what’s the maintenance like for it? How often do you have to change filters out (if you do how much are they) and do you have to refill anything? Like hydrogen tablets?

Hi Jason

No, Kangen does not filter out fluoride by default, it is my understanding that you will need special Kangen fluoride filters for that but they don't appear to be easy to get.

Tyent on the other hand filters out fluoride, arsenic and heavy metals by default.

Stay hydrated,
Luke

Hi Laetitia

I personally think having an ionizer machine is the healthier choice as it gives you the option of alkaline, hydrogen AND regular water on tap. You can switch between the different types of water depending on your dietary choices at the time.

I’m not sure what you mean by “dead water”, perhaps the dirty water that is filtered out? It is necessary for all filters to flush out dirt and contaminants but all the newest ionizer models are very efficient and waste very little water.

Stay hydrated,
Luke

Good morning ,

Thank you for all these information !
but I am still a bit lost when I see the numbers of " filter or ionizer machines" on the market .
so I have few questions :
1/ for a family focus on health what would be the best installation ?
2/ I saw 1 ionizer in my friend's place and was surprised it was rejecting " the dead water ?" Can you please explain what is the live and dead water and is the tyent ionizer does that too ?
I am living in a country where the water is very expensive , I can't afford to lose half every time I want a glass of water :-(

Thank you in advance for your precious advices!

Hi Grace

Tyent filters treat manganese, hydrogen sulfide and iron - all things that commonly contaminate well water so I would say yes.

I'm not sure about Kangen.

Stay hydrated,
