Hi Leanne

What about an RO filter system like <a href="https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=XGumC3sj/08&mid=36667&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.aquasana.com%2Fdrinking-water-filter-systems%2Freverse-osmosis-claryum" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow ugc">this</a>? Although hard water wears out the cartridges much faster so more replacements may be needed.

Having said that it is smaller and more cost effective than a regular softener.

Stay hydrated,
Luke

This was very informative. Is there a filter that can be put on the water line to the hot water tank. My water comes from a well. It’s clear, tasty and soft, but it has lime stone and Calcium in it. I have calcium deposits that I fight constantly. I’m thinking a water softener is over kill, takes up space in my pantry and would need to be removed if work needs to be done on the water heater.
