In reply to Oron Prager. Hi Dr. Prager Thank you for leaving a comment. I must admit, I've never really looked at the water softener market in Israel. My best advice is to get a water hardness test kit to understand exactly how hard your water is and then once you have this number you can look for the water softener model that is capable of dealing with that level of hardness. It is no secret that Fleck is my favorite softener brand and you can always get one of the higher spec models e.g. 9100SXT that deals with very hard water. However, once you know how hard your water is, you can even call up the cheaper manufactures available in your area and ask them which model is the right one for you. Hope this helps, Luke

Hi there
Interesting. However, I am in Israel. Here, you have only three head brands (Autotrol, Clack, Fleck) with generic resins, and Culligen complete set, and the first cost of the first doubles the last.
Since prices are excruciatingly high ( (starting 2000$ and up (Culligen gets to 2400$…) , not 600-1000$ as in the states, does it really matter (water are quite hard here)? Does it worth the extra cost?
Which is the best value for money functioning and reliability wise for a house hold?
