I recently purchased an Aquasure harmony that came with a whole house activated carbon filter that is also capable of filtering 1,000,000 gallons of water. It also came with a sediment filter and a reverse osmosis system for drinking water. I have no business relationship with Aquasure, just a customer. These have been offered on Amazon for at least the last three years. Your article is no accurate.
